Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of GoNinja (goninja.com.au) — a read-only cloud security and compliance scanning and Terraform generation service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
1. The service
GoNinja scans cloud accounts you connect through a read-only access role, reports security and compliance findings mapped to common frameworks (CIS, SOC 2, PCI-DSS), and can generate Terraform that describes your existing infrastructure. The service never modifies your cloud environment.
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure.
- Two-factor authentication is required on paid accounts.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable use
- You may only connect and scan cloud accounts that you own or are explicitly authorised to assess. Scanning accounts without authority is prohibited and may be unlawful.
- You may not attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the service itself, resell it without our agreement, or use it to build a competing dataset.
4. Trial, subscription and billing
- Free trial — 7 days, no credit card required, with fair-use limits on daily scans.
- Subscription — $9.95 AUD per user per month (including GST where applicable), billed by Stripe. Scanning and Terraform generation are included in the one price.
- Cancelling — cancel anytime from the app; your subscription then runs to the end of the paid period and does not renew. Amounts already paid are non-refundable except where Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.
5. What the service is — and isn't
GoNinja is an informational tool. Findings are generated by automated checks against your account's configuration at scan time. GoNinja is not a certified audit, a penetration test, or a guarantee that your environment is secure or compliant — no scanner can find every issue. You remain responsible for your own cloud security decisions, and generated Terraform should be reviewed before use.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, whose guarantees are not excluded), our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms (especially section 3). You can close your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for how deletion works.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes take effect 14 days after we notify account holders by email or in-app. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of that state.
